The Harral Family
The Harrals are native Texans who met at Baylor University and moved to Fort Worth in 1986. Harriet founded The Harral Group and is executive director of Leadership Fort Worth. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Colorado in communication theory. Paul is associate editor of the Fort Worth Business Press, following a lengthy career at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. The Harrals have served on numerous boards including Circle Theatre, the Tarrant County Homeless Coalition and MedStar (where he currently is vice chairman of the board) for Paul; and United Way, Goodwill Industries of Fort Worth (where she was chair), Mayfest, Rotary and Baptist News Global for Harriet. She also chaired national boards of the Association of Leadership Programs and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. Harriet was named a Great Woman of Texas by the Business Press. They are active members of Broadway Baptist Church, where Harriet was the first woman to chair the board of deacons. Their children, Huard and wife Connie, and Aprile and husband Mitch Westbrook, have seven fabulous children.
