Evan Malloy is a partner in the corporate/securities section of Kelly Hart & Hallman LLP, where he specializes in advising clients in mergers and acquisitions transactions. Evan has represented a variety of notable local clients throughout his career, including the Lower Colorado River Authority, TPG Capital, AZZ Inc. and Preferred Pump and Equipment. In the field of mergers and acquisitions, Evan has been recognized as a “Top Lawyer” by Fort Worth, Texas and 360 West magazines and as a “Rising Star” by Texas Monthly, and in 2017 Evan was recognized as a “40 Under 40” honoree by the Fort Worth Business Press. In the spring of 2018, Evan will join the faculty of the Texas A&M University School of Law as an adjunct professor teaching a course in business law.
When he is not negotiating complex business acquisitions, Evan spends time working his second job as a sherpa for his beautiful wife Vanessa as she competes throughout the country as a semi-professional triathlete. Also an attorney and a law school classmate, Vanessa met Evan on a golf course in Lubbock, where her best shot of the day narrowly missed his head. Despite the early attempt on his life, Evan and Vanessa have remained inseparable since meeting in 2005 and have been happily married since 2008. The couple live in Keller, Texas and enjoy skiing, traveling, spending time with their two dogs and sampling the Metroplex’s many fine restaurants.
