The Adams Family

Leann and Bob are shown with their son Ash in the grand staircase at Thistle Hill. Fort Worth natives, the Adams have a passion for the preservation of our city’s history and built environment. Architect Bob’s career milestones involve designing facilities for universities including T.C.U., Sam Houston, Texas State, Southwestern Baptist, and his alma mater A&M. He played a major in the design of D/FW International Airport as tenant architect for American Airlines and managed the restoration of the 1930’s T and P Railway Station and the design of Fort Worth’s Intermodal Transportation Center. His community involvement includes the Park and Recreation Board, Downtown Fort Worth, Inc., chairmanships of the Historic and Cultural Landmarks Commission and South Area Chamber of Commerce. Currently he serves on the Stockyards Design Taskforce and the Urban Design Commission.
Leann holds BA and MA degrees from T.C.U. and has taught history, art history, and humanities for 43 years in Arlington Heights, I.M. Terrell, Paschal, Trinity Valley, and currently at All Saints Episcopal School. She was named one of North Texas’ Top Teachers by Fort Worth Magazine. Her community service includes Vice President of the Fort Worth Junior League and Kids Who Care, Texas Boys Choir, and Fort Worth Youth Orchestra boards. Both Bob and Leann have served as Chairman of the Historic Preservation Council and as President of Berkeley Place Neighborhood Association.
Their son, Ash, holds a degree in architecture from Yale University and is employed by Kone. In his spare time he is a professional magician. The Adams are avid collectors of architectural artifacts, Teddy Roosevelt memorabilia, and vintage magic posters.

The Arrington Family

Michael and Renee Arrington are Fort Worth natives, proud to call Cowtown home. Michael is from a military family, his father having served in the United States Air Force and retired in Fort Worth. Renee (Baker) is fifth generation Fort Worth, as the Baker family immigrated from England through Galveston to Fort Worth in the 1870’s.
Michael started his second career as a nurse after exiting a family business in Dallas. Today he volunteers for Cornerstone Assistance Network, assisting with cataract surgeries and caring for patients. Renee is a senior vice president with Pearson Partners International Inc., a retained executive search firm that helps its clients find the leaders they need to meet business goals.
Although neither Michael nor Renee attended TCU, both are passionate about Frog athletics, particularly football, and enjoy cheering for the home town team. Both are proud supporters of the Foundation for the Young Women’s Leadership Academy of Fort Worth, where Renee currently serves as Board Chair. The two enjoy music and travel, and spending time with friends and family.

The Bloxom Family

Julia and David Bloxom met at ACU and later earned Masters at TCU and the University of Chicago respectively. David is part owner and Board Chairman of Speed Fab-Crete Corporation, and Julia taught for decades in the public schools and TCC. They love to travel and are active members of both Christ Chapel and Ridglea Country Club where David plays weekly golf. David serves on the State Board of AGC, the National Certification Board of DBIA, and the Board of Directors of the Fort Worth Chamber. Julia is an active member of Jewel Charity and the Roundelay, Canwick, and Soiree Clubs. David and Julia are supporters of TCU and the Tarrant Area Food Bank.
Their pride and joy are their kids and grandkids. Lauren and TK Stohlman, both business owners, live in Dallas. Lauren, a graduate of ACU, is the owner/founder of Julia Lauren Photography. TK, a graduate of the University of Miami, is CEO and Founder of FanPrint. They have three children: Summer, 7; Kingston, 5; and Kannon, 9 months.
Claire and Law Armstrong of Fort Worth are the proud parents of 10-month-old Landon. Claire, a graduate of Pepperdine University, is PR Director at PAVLOV Agency. Law, a TCU graduate, is a Senior Landman at XTO Energy.
Brad Bloxom, a 2015 graduate of Ole Miss, is assistant director of business development at Speed Fab-Crete.

The Brewster Family

Longtime Fort Worth residents Brad and Marilyn Brewster, pictured with Ilya Shmukler, are hosts to Ilya while he participates in the Fifteenth Van Cliburn International Piano Competition at Bass Hall downtown. For the Brewsters, this is their second time home-hosting a Cliburn competitor. For 22-year-old Ilya, this his first trip to the USA, but he and the Brewsters hope for many more.
Every four years, the Cliburn brings 30 of the world’s top young pianists to Fort Worth for three weeks’ of incredible music in a grueling competition for its gold medal, $50,000 cash prize, and three years’ worth of career management. From its first competition in 1962, the Cliburn earned a well-deserved reputation for excellence through its detailed planning and organization; high-quality competitors, juries, and orchestra (the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra); and Fort Worth’s well-known friendliness.
For Brad and Marilyn, the immediate task is to continue enable Ilya to do his best in all of the Cliburn’s events and enjoy the world-class music he brings to their home.

The Brown Family

Chip and Debby Brown moved to Fort Worth in 1979 after 8 years in Galveston where Chip attended Medical School and Residency. He joined the practice of Radiology Associates of Tarrant County. Their three sons were born in Galveston and were 2, 4, and 6 when they moved to FW! All three went off to college and moved back to Fort Worth. We are so blessed to all live in the same neighborhood! Trey is married to Nicole and has Drew 10 and Lexie 7. Todd is married to Natalie and they have a son, Wells, who is 17 months. Travis married his high school sweetheart, Sheri, and they have Jackson 10 and London 8. All the Browns attend Christ Chapel Bible Church and give all honor and glory for their wonderful life to their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

The Brunner Family

Will and Claire Brunner keep a busy schedule with their 3 daughters and 2 businesses, while living out their degrees from Texas Christian University.
Will who is a native of Midland, TX, received his BBA from TCU in Entrepreneurial Management. Will is the Co-Founder of Devereux - a men’s modern resort and golf apparel line. Devereux is in their 4th year of business and rapidly growing globally. Their line can be found in high-end clubs and resorts in the US, Canada, Mexico and Dubai, as well as online. Will splits his time between their home in Fort Worth and Devereux’s headquarters in Scottsdale, AZ where he oversees all business operations.
Claire lived in Little Rock, AR until she attended TCU where she received her BBA in Marketing and E-Business. She is part owner of Enilon, a digital performance agency in Fort Worth. Enilon focuses on digital 360 Lead Acquisition and retention programs for clients such as Texas Health Resources, Flexjet, Bell Helicopter, SMU and Perma-Pier Foundation. Claire is a part of the AMA’s mentorship program, as well as a member of Junior League, TCU’s Women to the Power of 10, recent graduate of Leadership Fort Worth and recipient of FWB’s 40 under 40 award.
Will and Claire, married for 11 years, are active members of Colonial Country Club and St. Andrew’s Catholic Church and school - where their girls are in Pre-K, 1st and 3rd grades. They spend their weekends focused on family and can often be found entertaining friends in their backyard, playing golf, tennis or enjoying the Trinity Trail.

The Bumgardner & Nelson Families


The Bumgardner Family
Brent and Stephanie Bumgardner, both native Texans, met in Fort Worth in 1996. Shortly after marrying, they moved to Dallas to pursue careers, but came to their senses in 2008 when they returned to Fort Worth and made it their home. Both are proud graduates of the University of Texas and bleed burnt orange. Brent earned degrees in Chemical Engineering (1992) and Law (1995). Stephanie earned a degree in Psychology from UT in 1992, and a law degree from Texas Tech in 1995.
Along with Ed Nelson, Brent is co-founder of Nelson Bumgardner P.C. Brent specializes in patent litigation and represents clients across the country.
Brent and Stephanie have three children. Evan is a seventh grader at All Saints’ where she enjoys art and theater. Sam is a fifth grader at Trinity Valley and spends most of his time playing baseball and golf. Libby is a third grader at Trinity Valley and enjoys ballet and gymnastics. The Bumgardners attend First United Methodist Church. 

The Nelson Family 
Ed and Laura Nelson were married in 1997, a year after Ed received his JD from the University of Texas School of Law. They are both graduates of TCU and Horned Frogs at heart. Ed graduated from TCU in 1993, magna cum laude. While at TCU, he was nominated to, and inducted into, The Phi Beta Kappa Society. Laura graduated TCU in 1995, cum laude. She received her Master’s degree in clinical psychology from Stephen F. Austin.
Ed is co-founder of Nelson Bumgardner, a litigation boutique specializing in patent and complex business litigation. The Firm’s deep technical strength allows the Firm to represent clients across myriad technological arts. Ed’s recent trial successes include a substantial willful patent infringement verdict against Apple.
Laura practiced in a clinical environment at MHMR of Tarrant County and Catholic Charities. Since leaving her career, she has been heavily involved at Fort Worth Country Day, serving on the PFA Board and numerous committees.
The Nelson children, Reese, Chloe and Emily, attend Country Day and are immersed in numerous sports programs including baseball, gymnastics, and ballet respectively. All three are accomplished, year-round competitive swimmers for the Sigma Performance Swim Team.


The Claffey Family

Paul and Barb Claffey moved to Texas from Wisconsin 35 years ago along with their three children Charlie, Shelly and Brian. Paul and Barb have been married 5o years. Charlie, the eldest son, graduated from Texas Wesleyan University. Charlie has been married to his wife Marla for over 25 years. They have three children. Kyle graduated from the University of Arkansas. Ben is currently attending college. Truett, the youngest, has found his love for baseball. Shelly, the middle child, studied fashion merchandising and marketing and decided to work for the family business and pursue her passion in sales and design. Shelly’s daughter Ashley is currently pursuing her career in country music and band Vaudevylle. She also works for the family business. Brian, the youngest, joined the family business after high school and is extremely talented in art and design. Brian is married to his wife Renee and has two children, Paul and Cohen.
Claffey Pools was founded in 1987 by Paul Claffey who was originally from Wisconsin. He decided to move his family to with a goal to build a business based on integrity, quality workmanship. His three children, Charlie, Shelly and Brian, have carried on that legacy with Claffey Pools. They have also ranked #1 in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and #5 in the nation, voted by Pool and Spa News Top 50 Builders. Thy also make it a top priority to give back to the community through donating to local charities and organizations. 2017 has marked their 30th year in business. Claffey Enterprises consists of new pool and remodel construction and a full service department and retail store. The original motto “Quality is our commitment to you” still stands today and is the foundation of the business.

The Clegg Family

Travis and his wife Brandy are thankful for their busy and blessed lives in North Fort Worth. They are featured with their four children and family pet at Hillwood’s Alliance Town Center - Bluestem Park.
Travis Clegg is a Principal Owner for Peloton Land Solutions, a rapidly growing civil engineering consulting and design firm with offices in Fort Worth, Frisco, and Austin. Among other duties, he’s the program manager for the Edwards Ranch/Clearfork/Riverhills development by Cassco in Fort Worth.
Travis serves on the Fort Worth Real Estate Council, Home Builder’s Association and Development Advisory Committee which promotes smart growth in Fort Worth.
Travis met Brandy at Texas Tech University, where he attended college and graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering. Brandy earned her master’s degree in Communication Disorders through the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center.
Brandy is a Speech Language Pathologist who has worked for various home healthcare companies and school districts in the area. She’s a PTA Board Member and frequently volunteers at her children’s schools.
Zanna, (12), is the Student Council Secretary at her school where she’s involved in theatre, band, choir, and softball. Turner (10) likes competitive swim, basketball, baseball, and running. Reagan (8) is a social second grader who enjoys soccer, flag football, and video games. Briley, their 11 month baby girl, brings joy to the family with her smiles, babbles, and giggles.

The Compton Family

Mattie Peterson Compton, the 2016 Blackstone Award recipient is a Fort Worth native. She describes herself as an “accidental lawyer”, who once wanted to be a journalist. She has a B.A. from Smith College in Northampton, MA, where she is a recently elected Trustee. Her J.D. is from University of Michigan School of Law. Mattie’s mother, Mae Cora Peterson received her M.A. from U. of M., and at 101 is still active in her sorority, Delta Sigma Theta, and in their church, Broadway Baptist, where Mattie serves as Chair of Deacons. Mattie’s brother, John Peterson, spends a lot of time reading, and enjoying retirement after teaching at Dunbar High School for more than 25 years. Dunbar is his and Mattie’s alma mater, and where Mae Cora was a Vice-principal for 27 years. Mattie’s son, Joseph Compton, IV is a support services manager at First Data in Atlanta, GA, where he has lived since graduating from Morehouse College in 2003. He enjoys leading a group of middle school boys at Mount Paran Church.

The De Luca Family

Angelique De Luca realized her dream of returning to her home town of Fort Worth for good last summer, whole-heartedly seizing an opportunity to raise her daughter, Skylar, age 9 and son Caden, age 4 among the beloved family, friends and places she grew up with. She is joined by her husband, Los Angeles based film and t.v. producer Michael De Luca, who happily commutes between both cities. While he continues to pursue exciting opportunities in the arts and entertainment industry (including a second stint as producer of the Academy Awards), Angelique is preparing to enter the world of real estate development while also continuing as a dedicated and grateful stay at home mom to both their children. Together they have a history in philanthropy and charitable works such as the L.A. based “Baby2Baby”, which distributes diapers, food, toys and furniture to needy families, “The Care and Cure Benefit” for relief for childhood Epilepsy, and the local TCU school “KinderFrogs” for children with special needs for which they are hosting an event and live auction in their home in Fort Worth this October.

The Franz Family

William (Bill) and Yvana Franz have been married since November 1977. The couple are both native Texas and have 5 adult children and 9 grandchildren. Sons John and Roger (pictured) both currently live in Weatherford, TX with their wives and children.
Bill graduated from Arlington Heights High School and then went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington. In 1983 Bill Franz founded his Commercial Architecture firm where he and Yvana still work today. Franz Architects continues to flourish with son, John Franz, taking the lead so Bill and Yvana can enjoy partial retirement.
In their spare time the couple enjoys traveling, spending time with their grandchildren and enjoying life on the lake.

The Garnett Family

J & Andrea Garnett are pictured here with their daughters, Aubrey and Mason, sons, Thayne and Jax, and with their dog Kya. They have been married for six years and reside in Willow Park. West of Fort Worth was an easy choice of residence because J spent the last 12 years working with the Texas Air National Guard as a C-130 pilot. He just recently retired from the military as a Lt Col. Both J and Andrea work for Southwest Airlines, J as a Captain (11 years) and Andrea as a Flight Attendant (22 years).
Mason is a Senior at Aledo High School and involved in National Honor Society and volunteer work. Jax is in 7th grade at Aledo Middle School, where he is a member of the tennis and basketball teams.
Aubrey and Thayne both attend Weatherford High School. Aubrey is a Senior who is actively involved with her photography and on the varsity girl’s basketball team. Thayne is a Sophomore and plays on the JV football and basketball team.
Family time is extremely important to the Garnett’s. They try to take every opportunity to make family memories, whether it be vacations or just going out on boat on Lake Weatherford. Family time is their focus.

The Grubbs Family

Jenna and Eric K. Grubbs are pictured with their three amazing daughters, Lauren, Caroline and Julianna. The family resides in Southlake, Texas for past 10 years. They lived in Fort Worth for 10 years as the girls attended Fort Worth Country Day. Married for 31 years, they also celebrate over 30 years together at the family owned dealership of Grubbs Nissan in Bedford. Eric is an Alumni from SMU and Jenna is a Hendrix College Alumni.
Lauren is oldest at 25 and is currently a Community Development Volunteer for Peace Corp in Sumy, Ukraine. She graduated from UT in Austin with degrees in Finance, History and Government. Caroline is an Assistant Manager, while in training to be a GM at a fast paced Potbelly Shop near UT in Austin. Julianna is doing her undergraduate work in Accounting and Business at Marshall Business School USC in Los Angeles, CA. She will be an Intern with the Paul Hasting Law Firm in LA this summer.
They are members at White Chapel Church and actively support Haiti Micah Project, CRU and various other charitable organizations. In their spare time, the family enjoys traveling to their home in Colorado as well as trips to see their daughters, cruising and boating. The family is looking forward to enjoying Jenna’s birthday trip this summer to Odessa, Ukraine and Hungary, Budapest to see Lauren in her part of the world.

The Hamilton Family

Pat and Sharon Hamilton of Weatherford pictured at their ranch in Whitt. Pat and Sharon are proud to show off their Daughters, Sons-law and Grandchildren.
Pat is the President of Plains Capital Bank and a longtime member of the Parker County Sherriff’s Posse, rotary club, East Parker County Chamber of Commerce and Lakeshore Drive Baptist Church. Pat is proud to claim he is a sixth-generation resident of Parker County. Sharon is a retired educator from Weatherford Independent School District.
Julie Hamilton Walker resides in Flower Mound with her husband David Walker and sons Tate,13 and Grant, 10. The Walkers are active members of Rock Point Church in Flower Mound.
Carol Hamilton Bortzfield resides in Plano with her husband Jimmy Bortzfield and daughters Chloe, 8 and Chance, 1. The Bortzfields are active members of The Heights Baptist Church in Richardson.
The Hamiltons love to vacation together as a family of ten. Memories have been made in Durango, Hawaii, Gulf Shores, New York City, the Hyatt Hill Country Resort in San Antonio and cheering on the Texas Tech Red Raiders wherever they play. Pat and Sharon love living close enough to the grandkids to caddy at golf tournaments, cheer for 3-pointers and buy the most books at book fair.

The Harral Family

The Harrals are native Texans who met at Baylor University and moved to Fort Worth in 1986. Harriet founded The Harral Group and is executive director of Leadership Fort Worth. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Colorado in communication theory. Paul is associate editor of the Fort Worth Business Press, following a lengthy career at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. The Harrals have served on numerous boards including Circle Theatre, the Tarrant County Homeless Coalition and MedStar (where he currently is vice chairman of the board) for Paul; and United Way, Goodwill Industries of Fort Worth (where she was chair), Mayfest, Rotary and Baptist News Global for Harriet. She also chaired national boards of the Association of Leadership Programs and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. Harriet was named a Great Woman of Texas by the Business Press. They are active members of Broadway Baptist Church, where Harriet was the first woman to chair the board of deacons. Their children, Huard and wife Connie, and Aprile and husband Mitch Westbrook, have seven fabulous children.

The Hutton Family

Gary & Peggy Hutton met in 1985 after the Hutton family had moved from Fort Worth to Weatherford in 1980 to become new owners of a peach farm. Gary & Peggy were married January 9, 1988. They have two children: Jay and Maegan. Jay married Rebecca in April 2016.
The Huttons have many business ventures that keep them busy all year such as honey, cattle, fruit stands and some real estate. Jay works in the family business and resides in Weatherford as well. Maegan is a flight attendant for United Airlines. Peggy is employed with the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce.
Gary has served on the board for the Farm Service Agency. Peggy serves on the Freedom House board, a local shelter for abused women and children. Peggy is a charter member of the Zonta Club of Parker County and is a member of Rotary, Gary and Peggy are active members of the South Main Church of Christ where Peggy is involved in mission work. All they are involved with has a sole purpose of making a difference wherever they are.

The Ice Family

Jamey and Melissa Ice, pictured with daughter Roosevelt, have been married for 10 years and are proud residents of The Fairmount Historic District.
Jamey is a Fort Worth native, lead guitar player of Green River Ordinance, founding partner of 6th Ave Homes (a one stop shop real estate company), and along with his partner has bought and restored over 55 historic homes in the Southside. Jamey was recently recognized as 40 under 40 and was featured as 12 millennials to watch by Fort Worth Magazine.
Melissa spent most of her 20’s doing mission work overseas, but has since settled into caring for the marginalized in Fort Worth. She is the Founder and Executive Director of The NET, a non-profit that serves refugees, homeless, and sexually exploited women. The NET has almost 40 relationship building events per month and has served over 1300 people in our city. Melissa was in the Top 25 Women to Watch for 2016 for Women in Business Networking.
Together, they are co-owners of BREWED, a coffee-shop/gastropub on Magnolia Avenue. Jamey and Melissa love the city of Fort Worth and are passionate about seeing restoration one home and one person at a time!

The Jackson Family

Sarah and Jeremy Jackson are both Texas Christian University graduates majoring in finance. They both began their careers in banking which led them to Houston where they met and married in 2008. The couple along with their two daughters, Hodges Elizabeth (7) and Elvie Anne (4), were thrilled at the opportunity to move back to Fort Worth in the summer of 2015.
Jeremy, a native Houstonian, is a SVP of Commercial Lendingat Bank of Texas and serves on the board of the Tarrant County Bankers Association and Mira Vista CC Young Executive Committee. Jeremy is an avid golfer, youth soccer coach, and unapologetic TCU fan.
Sarah, a native Fort Worthian, is a SVP and Commercial Real Estate Manager for Amegy Bank and is focused on growing a presence in a new market for Amegy. Sarah serves on the board of Women of the Power of 10 for TCU’s Neeley School and CREW Fort Worth and volunteers at their daughter’s school.
Hodges is a first grader at Trinity Valley School; Elvie is in pre-school at Southwest Christian School; and Shiner is an 8 year old Australian Shepherd.

The Klein Family

Tom and Sara Klein of Klein Tools are shown here with their children, Tom Jr., David, and Leah. The Klein family resides in Mansfield, Texas. Since 1857, Klein Tools has been uniquely committed to providing only the finest professional-grade equipment. In 2011, Klein opened the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center in Mansfield, TX, bringing the Klein Family to Texas and adding to its growing number of US facilities. This newest facility is dedicated to the deployment of cutting edge manufacturing processes and advanced research and development. Klein Tools is still owned and managed by the Klein family. Direct descendants of Mathias Klein, the founder of Klein Tools, the Klein family are actively engaged in every aspect of the business. Its products are sold through distributors who serve professional tradesman.

The Kresser Family

Bill and Melody Kresser, pictured here with their four children, couldn’t be prouder of the beautiful blended family they are raising together in Fort Worth. They are thrilled to be a part of such a vibrant and active community. Most weekends you can find them cycling on the Trinity Trails, kayaking at Panther Island or enjoying family time exploring the outdoors. The entire family enjoys triathlon competitions and even the kids have completed a triathlon at some level. Bill recently completed a full Ironman!
Community involvement is foundational in their daily lives. Bill is a Private Banker with BBVA Compass downtown Fort Worth, leads a Fort Worth Chamber business leads group & volunteers with several community impact agencies in the area. Melody works in the Marketing Department at United Way of Tarrant County and also spends time giving back to her beloved community by volunteering with many amazing nonprofits. Bill and Melody take the time to teach their children the power of giving back and hope to instill the values of hard work and philanthropy within them at an early age.

The Lester Family

Darrell and Marion Lester celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last year. They met at TCU, calling Fort Worth home since their graduation in 1966. Darrell became a CPA, and is a founder of Centra Partners, a full service Real Estate firm. Marion is a homemaker who enjoyed teaching art at Hill, Paschal and Trinity Valley Schools, once the children became older.
They are longtime members of First Presbyterian Church and have been very active in the TCU community, as well as Colonial Country Club. Darrell served as President of Colonial, the TCU Alumni Association and the TCU Letterman’s Association. Marion continues her love of art as an award winning artist , with membership in the Woman’s Club Art Department.
Their three children, Darrell Jr. (Darek), Jennifer, and Bryan all graduated from TCU, as did Jennifer’s husband, Chris and Bryan’s wife, Laura. Darek, a Pathologist and Karla, a Pediatrician, live in Lincoln, Nebraska with their three children, Katherine, Audrey and Andrew. Jennifer and Chris Anderson live In Summit, New Jersey with their two children, Ellie and Anna Claire. He is an executive with Verizon and she, a homemaker and community volunteer. Bryan and Laura, the newest parents, live in Austin, Texas with son, Brooks. He is a Certified Financial Advisor and she is a Dermatologist.

The Malloy Family

Evan Malloy is a partner in the corporate/securities section of Kelly Hart & Hallman LLP, where he specializes in advising clients in mergers and acquisitions transactions. Evan has represented a variety of notable local clients throughout his career, including the Lower Colorado River Authority, TPG Capital, AZZ Inc. and Preferred Pump and Equipment. In the field of mergers and acquisitions, Evan has been recognized as a “Top Lawyer” by Fort Worth, Texas and 360 West magazines and as a “Rising Star” by Texas Monthly, and in 2017 Evan was recognized as a “40 Under 40” honoree by the Fort Worth Business Press. In the spring of 2018, Evan will join the faculty of the Texas A&M University School of Law as an adjunct professor teaching a course in business law.
When he is not negotiating complex business acquisitions, Evan spends time working his second job as a sherpa for his beautiful wife Vanessa as she competes throughout the country as a semi-professional triathlete. Also an attorney and a law school classmate, Vanessa met Evan on a golf course in Lubbock, where her best shot of the day narrowly missed his head. Despite the early attempt on his life, Evan and Vanessa have remained inseparable since meeting in 2005 and have been happily married since 2008. The couple live in Keller, Texas and enjoy skiing, traveling, spending time with their two dogs and sampling the Metroplex’s many fine restaurants.

The Martin Family

Natalie and Brant Martin, pictured with their three sons Campbell, Davis and William, live in Fort Worth.
A graduate of the University of Texas, Natalie grew up in Dallas, but moved to Fort Worth in 2003 and is the current President of the Junior League of Fort Worth. She has been active in the Junior League for over 11 years and it is her passion to give back to the community. A recent recipient of the “Woman of Distinction” Award from the Girl Scouts of America, Natalie focuses her philanthropic work on the empowerment of women and increasing opportunities for underprivileged children. She has also served on the board of directors for CASA of Tarrant County, and the Kupferle Breast Center. She is a co-owner, with her sisters, of Three Bishops Jewelry, which is carried in 40+ stores nationwide, locally it can be found at M L Leddy’s and You Are Here.
Brant is an attorney in Fort Worth and is a name partner with Wick, Phillips, Gould & Martin, LLP. He is a commercial trial lawyer, representing numerous clients primarily in trials and litigation involving contracts, fraud, and mergers and acquisition disputes. He has served on numerous boards in the area, and currently serves as a trustee for the Hatton W. Sumners Foundation. A native of Fort Worth, Brant is an alumnus of Trinity Valley School, and holds degrees from Washington & LeeUniversity, Yale University and SMU School of Law.
Campbell (6th grade), Davis (4th grade) and William (1st grade) are all students at Trinity Valley School. They are avid readers and play golf, lacrosse, basketball, soccer and baseball.

The O'Neill Family

Jarod and Jill O’Neill, children Bristol, Berkley, and Easton. Jarod and Jill have been married 13 years. Jill is a former English teacher who now stays at home to raise their children ages 6 and 5. The O’Neills are active at North Side Baptist Church in Weatherford where they live. They are also involved in their kids’ activities, which include soccer, gymnastics, and dance. Jarod is employed at Century Mechanical Contractors where he manages industrial projects for PepsiCo, Firestone and Robertson Distillery, and Gatorade. Jarod is also a member of the Fort Worth Stock Show Syndicate, which is the single largest financial contributor to the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo raising more than $3 million dollars a year.

The Purselley Family

Johnny and Paula Purselley are pictured with their boys Jude & Justin. Justin is graduating from Texas Tech this fall, which also happens to be where Johnny and Paula met while in school themselves. Jude presently attends Southwest Christian School.
These Texas natives moved to the area from their hometown, Lubbock, when Justin was a baby and have lived here since. The couple has been happily married for 23 years and are both realtors at Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty. They live in a small horse farm south of town and are pictured with one of their cutting horses, Pippa. The family has attended Christ Chapel in Ft. Worth since 1999. David S. Irvin has been their family Photographer for 15 years.

The Slugg Family

Ramsay Slugg is a Managing Director and member of the National Wealth Planning Solutions group at U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management. Prior to joining a predecessor of U.S. Trust in 1993, he practiced law for 15 years. Ramsay currently serves on the Boards of Directors of All Saints’ Episcopal School, and Casa Manana Musicals, and is a member of the Ambassadors’ Council at the Amon Carter Museum of Western Art. He is a past recipient of the President’s Volunteer Service Award.
Ramsay is pictured (from his rooftop deck in Pecan Place Townhomes in Uptown Fort Worth) with his children, Elliott Ross, Ellen Slugg and Byron Slugg. Elliott attended school in South Africa, and now lives and works in Fort Worth. Ellen and Byron are Lifetime Saints, having attended All Saints from K - 12. Ellen graduated from Sewanee: the University of the South in 2013, and now lives and works in Dallas. Byron will graduate from the University of Arkansas in May, 2017, and will live and work in Dallas.

The Smith Family

Bobby and Kelly Smith have helped bring Rod Patrick Bootmakers to its new location on W 6th St. The retail store offers western boots size 4 to 17 and widths EE through AAAA and quite possibly the world’s largest retail inventory of western boots. Bobby is President of Rod Patrick Bootmakers and Vice-President of Miller International (Cinch Clothing). Bobby and Kelly own and show western pleasure horses. They maintain close personal relationships within the horse industry helping them keep ahead of western trends and needs.
Daughter Caroline is married to Quinn Collins and they have 3 children, Reese, Mica and James Warner. While owning and running their business, Fate Fabrication, a commercial welding company from their ranch in Washington, Texas, they also raise cutting horses and show within the NCHA.
Daughter Sydney, husband, Patrick Collins and son Patrick III, also reside here in Ft Worth. Patrick is partners with the Bell/Roberts families at Western Hauler Enterprises, a custom truck conversion company here in Ft Worth.

The Spoons Family

Calvin and Glenn Spoons, pictured with their daughter Camerone, have been married for forty five years. Both grew up in Fort Worth attending the historic I. M. Terrell High School. Glenn completed bachelor and master degrees at the University of Texas at Arlington. Recently retired after working more than ten years as Director Education with the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce. Prior to working with the Chamber, she worked for TXU/Oncor thirty-three years. Calvin is on staff at McKinney Bible Church.
They are members of The Greenway Church and actively engaged in their community.
Their daughter Camerone is a graduate of Texas Southern University, and received her MBA from Our Lady of the Lake. She is an Account Manager with MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
In their spare time, they enjoy sports and spending time with family.

The Stanfield Family

Casey and Tish Stanfield, children Merril and Marla. Casey and Tish have been married for 16 years this May. Tish and Casey met working at Joe T. Garcia’s in 1995. They both graduated from and still and support TCU. Casey is a deacon at Trinity Bible Church in Willow Park. Tish is a board member of Trinity Christian Academy for 3 years now. On Wednesday nights at Trinity Bible Church Chris teaches 7th grade boys, and Tish teaches 5th grade girls. As a family they serve at Beautiful Feet Ministries and we travel in our Motorhome all over the country. They are heavily involved in their kid’s lives. Merril shoots clay targets and plays basketball, while Marla plays both volleyball and basketball.
The Stanfields own Red River Concrete Services, a commercial concrete construction company, since 2007. Red River Concrete is proud to support Beautiful Feet Ministries, Trinity Christian Academy, and TCA shooting team.
The Stanfields feel they have been blessed with a business that allows them the freedom to be involved in their kids and community.

The Terry Family

David and April Terry, pictured with their son Gibson, have been married for 30 years. They moved their family to Fort Worth in 1996 and their business in 2002.
TBI Construction Services is a commercial general contractor firm focusing on mid-sized, ground up medical, office and retail projects, as well as, interior finish projects.
Local client relationships include: ATC Freightliner, Medieval Times, Lone Star Ag Credit Bank, Bellaire North Investments, Pronto Couriers, Cartan’s Shoes, Brighton Jewelry and FasTaco.
TBI was founded by David’s father, Jim Terry in 1984. They love the Fort Worth community’s chic cowboy culture and its relational atmosphere.
The Baylor graduates are members of Gateway Church and have served on the boards of Fellowship of the Sword, Elevate Him Ministries and the Cook Children’s Parent Advisory Council. Gibson is a Sophomore at Baylor.

The Thomas Family

Greg and Deciree Thomas are pictured with their children Stratton and Isabella. Greg grew up in West Texas and Deciree is a native Houstonian. Greg is a proud graduate of TCU and earned a BS in Geology and then completed his MBA in Finance in Houston. Deciree graduated from Texas A&M with a BA in Journalism and Modern Languages and then earned her MA in Spanish from Middlebury College in Vermont.
Greg is President of Delta Oil & Gas with offices in Ft. Worth, Breckenridge, TX, Denver City, TX and Boulder CO. He and Stratton are both Eagle Scouts and are very active in Scouting. Greg serves on local, council and national BSA committees.
Deciree retired from teaching Spanish and spends most of her time managing the family. Stratton, (junior) and Isabella, (freshman) both attend Southwest Christian School where Stratton is active in cross country and drum line while Isabella focuses on horseback and piano. They both love the theater/drama department.
The Thomas’ enjoy family time and traveling together. They attend Machaira Bible Church and feel blessed to help support many local, national and worldwide ministries where they serve at the board level.

The Thompson Family

Bert and Brigit Thompson, pictured with their daughter Caroline and son Clayton, have been married for twenty years and reside in Weatherford. Bert & Brigit both were born and raised in Fort Worth.
In 2014, Bert became owner and president of Mike’s Westside Rental in Graham. In January of 2017 they opened their second location in Weatherford and will be opening their third location in Stephenville in October.
They are members of Trinity Bible Church. Caroline is in 6th grade at Trinity Christian Academy and Clayton is in Pre-K at TCA also. Bert is a Board Member for Susan G. Komen Greater Worth and has served as the Chair for the Race for the Cure in 2014 & 2015.
In their spare time, the Thompsons enjoy spending time with their family and attending soccer games and tournaments for Caroline and Clayton.

The Van Hook Family

James and Carol Van Hook shown with son, John Van Hook; his wife, Ji Young and children, James and Sonia, and daughter, Laura Spann; her husband, Jeremy and daughter Maggie have spent their fifty-four-year married life in Fort Worth.
James is retired after a consulting engineering design and project management career involving aircraft facilities. Carol, a Realtor for over 45 years was named the Realtor of the Year in 2000, served as a former President of the Fort Worth Board of Realtors and was the Owner/Broker of Mira Vista Realtors. Since selling her company to Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty, Carol’s sales career remains active with the firm. Laura, a non-practicing attorney is a Sales Director with the firm and has formed a sales team, the Spann Group with Jeremy, a TCU MBA graduate. John, an Army Lieutenant Colonel, is currently stationed in Afghanistan. Ji Young is a business woman in South Korea.
Carol and James are active members in First Methodist Church of Fort Worth with Carol serving on the finance committee.

The Weatherford Family

Pam and Bryan Weatherford are living proof that opposites attract. Pam is left handed. Bryan is right handed. Pam is an introvert. Bryan is an extrovert. Bryan’s a little bit country. Pam is a little bit Rock’n Roll. But one big thing they have in common is their love for people. As a certified Life Coach, Pam has helped people stay on course in all aspects of their lives. Pam has worked with numerous companies to assist with their employee training programs. She’s written curriculum for and conducted seminars on a variety of subjects including: Personality Workshops, Time Management, Generational Diversity in the Workplace, and Customer Service Training. Additionally, she has authored two books including Customer Service Doggy Style which details the philosophy that people should treat their customers the way their dogs treat them. She also works to help people establish a healthy base by eating healthy. By working with major health food companies as well as the stores that sell them, Pam works with individuals daily to help them “tweak” their diets in simple, yet effective ways.
Bryan has sold Fun his entire life. Bryan has 35+ years of experience in the Hospitality and Entertainment business. He also has a passion for assisting Non-Profit groups in raising money as an Auctioneer/Emcee for their events. Through his company All-In-Promotions, Bryan has worked with groups large and small. As Bryan likes to say, “I’m not the guy who can write a big check to support charities, but I’ve been blessed with the ability to talk on a microphone, and get the people who can write the checks to write bigger checks.”
Together, Pam and Bryan have combined their life-experiences, humor, and passion for people to develop a Marriage We-Treat. This one day event helps couples Rediscover, Recommit, and Reignite their marriages.
The Weatherfords live in Fort Worth with their two dogs Sassy and Lulu.

The Webb Family

Sarah and Daniel Webb reside in Cresson, Texas with their children Elliott and Anna. Sarah is the President and COO of Plaid for Women. She graduated from Texas A&M University, has a MBA from Texas Christian University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas. Daniel is a board certified family attorney with his practice based in Granbury, Texas. He is also a director of the Texas Family Law Foundation. Daniel graduated from Abilene Christian University and Texas A&M University School of Law. The Webb family is active at Altamesa Church of Christ and at the school of their children, Southwest Christian School, where Sarah is a trustee.

The Wright Family

Doug Wright is a Fort Worth native who attended Paschal High School before earning a degree in Business from the University of Texas (Austin). He then attended St. Mary’s Law School in San Antonio, Texas where he graduated in 1979 before returning to Fort Worth to begin his legal career. He is currently with the firm of BAILEY & GALYEN, and practices Family Law.
During his legal career he has served as President of the Tarrant County Young Lawyer’s Association and President of the Tarrant County Family Law Bar Association. Last year he served as President of the Texas Exes Fort Worth Chapter.
Ben Wright a musical theater graduate of UCLA with a masters in advertising from the University of Texas (Austin) lives in New York City with his wife, Lizzie. He is actively writing musicals and has his own website design business. He has also created a social networking group for Texans involved in Theater in New York City call Lone Star Theatre Co.
Weston Wright will be a senior AP student at Colleyville Heritage High School. His primary interest is creating animated videos. As a Junior he finished 3rd in the State UIL Young Filmmakers competition for his digital animated video entry.
