The Adams Family

Leann and Bob are shown with their son Ash in the grand staircase at Thistle Hill. Fort Worth natives, the Adams have a passion for the preservation of our city’s history and built environment. Architect Bob’s career milestones involve designing facilities for universities including T.C.U., Sam Houston, Texas State, Southwestern Baptist, and his alma mater A&M. He played a major in the design of D/FW International Airport as tenant architect for American Airlines and managed the restoration of the 1930’s T and P Railway Station and the design of Fort Worth’s Intermodal Transportation Center. His community involvement includes the Park and Recreation Board, Downtown Fort Worth, Inc., chairmanships of the Historic and Cultural Landmarks Commission and South Area Chamber of Commerce. Currently he serves on the Stockyards Design Taskforce and the Urban Design Commission.
Leann holds BA and MA degrees from T.C.U. and has taught history, art history, and humanities for 43 years in Arlington Heights, I.M. Terrell, Paschal, Trinity Valley, and currently at All Saints Episcopal School. She was named one of North Texas’ Top Teachers by Fort Worth Magazine. Her community service includes Vice President of the Fort Worth Junior League and Kids Who Care, Texas Boys Choir, and Fort Worth Youth Orchestra boards. Both Bob and Leann have served as Chairman of the Historic Preservation Council and as President of Berkeley Place Neighborhood Association.
Their son, Ash, holds a degree in architecture from Yale University and is employed by Kone. In his spare time he is a professional magician. The Adams are avid collectors of architectural artifacts, Teddy Roosevelt memorabilia, and vintage magic posters.
